An instant moment's sentiment
The sun rays transpierced the long, dangling curtains, creating a thin line of sparkling dust particles which oriented the light towards her eyelids. Brushing her hair off her face clumsily, she sat up on the bed, embracing the white noise of the fan and the subtle groans of her sister, still sleeping by her side. In a swan like movement, she lifted her hair up in a loose bun, tiptoed her way to the bathroom where she felt disgusted by the sand on the floor from yesterday’s beach day. Teeth, brushed. Face, washed. Pimple, popped. She headed towards the curtains while inspecting if her sister was facing the other way. Sliding her fingers in between the foldings of the curtain she managed to reach the door handle to the balcony. Silently she was eaten by the curtains unto the light of day. In the horizon lay the Mediterranean sea, in all its glory and deepness. The sun was still rising subtly for no cars or people were at the sight momentarily. Leaning her arms on the balcony’s edge, she placed her elbows in a comfortable position as if she was to stand there eternally. The sea seemed huge and mesmerizing brushed by the soft layered waves on which sunlight had drawn eye piercing rays. Her body was up there, in the balcony of this hotel room, her bare feet would attest and confirm this claim, as they have started to turn blue from standing. Her mind however, hovered around like a crow in search for meat.
